CustomizationĪfter looking through all of the different meal kits and add-ons from Blue Apron, I chose the main kit. Each meal also came with instructions with pictures, so even the most amateur chefs could follow along. The best part for me was the booklet that provided instructions on what to do ahead of time, like season the turkey. There were easy instructions on how to dispose of the ice packs, so it was all very seamless.

Each of the meals came in its own separate box with labels for each. It was pretty heavy, and I had to use a rolling cart to get it upstairs and into my apartment. Over the years, Thanksgiving has dedicated a special time to spend with your friends just as much as your family at Friendsgiving gatherings. If you’re nervous about preparing your first Thanksgiving meal, I had the opportunity to try Blue Apron’s Classic Thanksgiving Meal Kit, and it was a game changer.

Normally, I pick up some rolls and whip up a gluten-free apple pie, but last Thanksgiving I was hosting for the first time. While I consider myself a pretty experienced cook, (I meal-prep all of my meals every week), Thanksgiving cooking is at another level. Now that it’s November, the holidays are in full swing-and if you’re like me, that means a lot more time spent cooking.
